Entraide Franco-Tibétaine ("Franco-Tibetan Mutual Aid Society") is a humanitarian and cultural organisation created in 1987 to financially support Tibetan refugees living in India and help them preserve their traditions. It assists the elderly, the sick, school children and monastics. The donations it collects are entirely allocated to its projects – sponsoring the living expenses of students and seniors, building housing, schools or old people's homes and providing medical care.
The organisation primarily supports Drepung Gomang and Dagpo Shedrup Ling Monastic Universities as Venerable Dagpo Rinpoche was a student of the former and is the spiritual and temporal leader of the latter. Dagpo Shedrup Ling was first re-established at Bomdila in N.E. India, and then moved to the Mainpat region before finally settling in the Kullu Valley at the foot of the Western Himalayas in 2005.
